We want to help you live contemplatively in today’s world:

With Christ, in the heart of the world

We are all called to be saints, that is, contemplatives, in any state or situation. This website aims to respond to the deep spiritual yearning that some Christians living in the world are experiencing, both priests, consecrated persons and laity. It is a question of restlessness that moves them to go deeper into the interior life with all the strength as much as they can. They are convinced that only an intense life of prayer allows them to reach a deep identification with Jesus Christ, which is the basis of their whole personal and apostolic life. This identification builds them up not only as authentic Christians, but also as persons in fullness.

But, as it is often understood that a strong inclination to the interior life is synonymous with a «monastic» vocation and a separation from the world, many of these inwardly restless Christians, who are not and cannot be monks, become discouraged and renounce their deep aspirations. For this reason, it must be defended that, although normally those called to the monastic life have a contemplative vocation, not all those who have a contemplative vocation are called to the monastic life. Moreover, it can even be said that the contemplative vocation is the normal vocation of every Christian. Therefore, this strong call to the most perfect union with God is fully compatible with secular life; and, in fact, one finds people called to live this union with God in an infinite number of environments and circumstances in our world.

Those lay people, priests, and consecrated persons who live in the world and experience this interior impulse hardly have the means to discover their contemplative vocation in the world, to develop it and to express it in their lives. This website aims precisely to support those who want to accept the difficult challenge of assuming this kind of vocation and living it in the midst of the world. And for that, it tries to provide materials for discernment, formation, prayer and the concrete form of realizing the contemplative life in the world. Its purpose is to effectively help all these contemplatives who are called to be the leaven of the world through their identification with Christ, their intercession and their silent and effective presence.

Because of this same character of specific response to a particular vocation, these materials are offered primarily to those who, after serious discernment, feel called to this particular vocation, recognizing the richness that adorns the Church in the diversity of vocations and charisms.
